Estelíには北部各地から学生が集まります。町の両端に2つのターミナルがあるので、スーツケースを持って着く前に、どちらを使うか知っておくと安心です。

ステップごとの手順

ステップ1: The two COTRAN terminals
COTRAN Sur has the buses to Managua, Matagalpa and León. COTRAN Norte has those to Somoto, Ocotal, Jinotega, Condega and the northern towns, plus some express buses to Managua. A taxi between the two costs about C$30–40.

ステップ2: From your home town
From Somoto and Ocotal buses run every 30 to 45 minutes and the ride takes an hour and a half. Condega is half an hour away, with buses every 20 minutes. From Jinotega there are six departures a day, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Remoter towns like Jalapa or San Juan de Limay get few buses, mostly in the morning: the last from Estelí to Jalapa leaves at 3:00 PM.

ステップ3: Going to Managua for the weekend
Express buses to Managua leave from both terminals: from COTRAN Sur every 45 minutes until 5:30 PM, and from COTRAN Norte nine times a day until 3:45 PM. The ride takes about two and a half hours and costs C$120–140.

ステップ4: A break from routine
Miraflor reserve and Tisey are close and have buses from Estelí: three a day to Miraflor from COTRAN Norte and two to Tisey from COTRAN Sur.

費用の目安

Taxi between the two COTRAN terminals C$30–40. Estelí–Managua C$120–140 by express. Somoto or Ocotal to Estelí C$45–60.

Estelí gets cool before dawn: bring a sweater for the 4:00 or 5:00 AM bus.
