バスで行くEstelíとMiraflor自然保護区

葉巻の町EstelíはManaguaから急行バスで2時間30分。農家に泊まれる雲霧林の保護区Miraflorへは、COTRAN Norteターミナルから出る郊外のバスで行きます。

ステップごとの手順

ステップ1: Managua → Estelí
Express buses from Mercado Mayoreo every 45 minutes (C$120–140). They arrive at COTRAN Sur; COTRAN Norte is across town (taxi C$30–40).

ステップ2: Estelí → Miraflor
From COTRAN Norte, the bus towards Yalí crosses the reserve: departures at 6:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 3:40 PM, C$20–25, dirt road. Ask the driver to drop you at your homestay's community.

ステップ3: Homestays and guides
The UCA Miraflor cooperative in Estelí arranges family homestays, guides and hikes. Book before going up, since mobile signal in the reserve is patchy.

費用の目安

Managua–Estelí C$120–140 + Miraflor bus C$20–25.

Buses back pass the communities at 7:15 AM, 11:30 AM and 4:15 PM.
Bring warm clothes: Miraflor gets cool at night. In Estelí the cigar factories offer guided tours.

Estelí to Miraflor
At Estelí's COTRAN Norte they caught the 11:30 a.m. bus towards Yalí and got off at the La Rampla stop in Miraflor: C$33 for a ride of an hour and a half to two hours that Esther calls beautiful. They came back on the afternoon bus from La Pita for C$35, an even prettier ride.
